Turnips, Area B

In an area along the east wall that was 31" by 43 inches, or 9.25 square feet (, was planted with Purple Top turnips. Though the plants grew fairly well the yield was only poor. I suspect the serious shading this area receives limited their growth. None of these were harvested before closure ended. On exit day, those that had any were picked--but it was only 5. The weight of these was estimated.
